1.FC Nurnberg striker Josip Drmic will have the option of moving to Italy's Serie A this summer if he wishes, with Inter and Napoli having joined the race for his services.

Drmic has been strongly linked with switching to Premier League giants Arsenal, with claims of a deal being all but done to take the 21-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.

That has been denied by the striker's camp, but there is little doubt the Gunners have been left impressed by his goalscoring efforts in a struggling Nurnberg side this term.

Drmic has a release clause in his contract, and the sum needed would be slashed if Nurnberg are relegated to the 2. Bundesliga.

That is a distinct possibility, with the Franconian side sitting second bottom in the standings.

According to German daily Bild, Inter and Napoli are now actively monitoring the Swiss striker's situation at Nurnberg ahead of a summer swoop.

Drmic has bagged 16 goals in 23 Bundesliga games for Nurnberg so far this term.
