Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who watched his side leapfrog Barcelona in La Liga yesterday, does not believe the Catalans will suffer a hangover into Wednesday's Copa del Rey final.

Barcelona went down to a shock 1-0 defeat away at Granada, while Real Madrid thrashed Almeria 4-0 later on Saturday.

Real Madrid now sit second in La Liga, with Barcelona third. But Ancelotti does not expect that to impact the cup final.

"It was a surprise because Barcelona has more quality than Granada, but at this time of the season all teams are fighting for a goal and those fighting for salvation are the most dangerous", the Italian explained at his post-match press conference.

"There are many surprises in this league, and I think they will fight to the end. It will not change the dynamic of Wednesday's match.

"We have an incredibly important match on Wednesday, and we don't have time to think about anything else."

The defeat was yet another blow for Barcelona, having crashed out of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid in midweek.
