Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton all sent scouts to yesterday's Eredivisie clash between PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord, but were left unimpressed.

The English Premier League trio sent talent spotters to specifically watch Feyenoord defensive pair Daryl Janmaat and Stefan de Vrij, both having been highly rated and linked with a move away from De Kuip this coming summer.

However, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, the scouts were not taken with the game and described the level of the high-profile Eredivisie clash as "deplorable".

Feyenoord ran out 2-0 winners in the contest at the Philips Stadion, cementing second spot behind Ajax in the standings and staying in pole position to return to the Champions League next term.
