AC Milan manager Clarence Seedorf praised his team for their performance in their 1-0 win against Catania yesterday at the San Siro, but believes that there are aspects of their game that they can improve and do better.

A double Champions League winner with the Rossoneri, Seedorf believes as a coach he needs to maintain the balance between both the defensive and the attacking side of his team.

"I’ve always had to think about defending and attacking throughout my career and I’m doing the same as a coach”, the Dutchman a press conference.

The former Ajax midfielder praised Milan’s defence for keeping it tight at the back but was disappointed at his team’s failure to control the game by giving away possession.

“We have to get the best out of ourselves and we were very compact this evening, maintaining the result that we had and looking for the second goal, which never came.”

AC Milan are currently eighth in Serie A on 48 points, nineteen points behind Champions League qualification. They won their last league title in the 2010/11 season.
