AC Milan manager Clarence Seedorf has urged his team to continue with their good run of form to ensure a top five finish this season.

The 1-0 win against Catania at the weekend meant that the Rossoneri are now placed eighth in the league, on the back of four consecutive wins.

The win also ensured that the Diavolo are now not too far away from the final European qualification spot currently being occupied by their rivals Inter Milan with 53 points.

However, the key factor that the 38-year-old manager wants his team to remember is related to consistency.

"The important thing is to achieve results", Seedorf told FIFA's official site.

"Results are what matters because no one remembers good performances when you lose.

"My team showed great determination against Catania and understood the importance of getting a win."

The former AC Milan player also believes that the positive spell does not mean that they can relax.

"We are going through a positive spell.

"But it's precisely in situations like this one when it can happen that you relax a little bit. We simply cannot afford to do that", Seedorf added.
