West Ham United defender James Tomkins believes that his team will be up for the fight against Arsenal tonight at the Emirates Stadium.

The last time the two teams met earlier in the season, the match ended in a 3-1 loss for the Hammers but Tomkins, who was part of that match, feels that his team will try not to repeat the same mistakes this time around.

Sam Allardyce's men have failed to maintain a lengthy winning run this season and are currently placed 11th in the league with 37 points, seven points clear of relegation battlers Fulham.

With just four matches remaining in the season, every match is going to be vital for the team and therefore the 25-year-old does not want the match against Arsenal to be a walk in the park for Arsene Wenger and his men.

"We're looking forward to it; it's going to be a good game", Tomkins told his club's official site.

"I think we've got a good chance, but they're going to be up for it no matter what.

"If we keep it tight until half-time and then maybe we can catch them on the counter-attack."

West Ham's opponents on the other hand will be desperate to add three points to help their push for Champions League qualification.
