Mateo Kovacic's agent has followed his client's lead by playing down talk of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Croatian playmaker rubbished transfer links with the English Premier League pair yesterday, commenting: "I may be young, but I've learned that journalists invent rumours every day."

Kovacic also insisted that he wants to stay put at Inter and now his agent has echoed those thoughts, saying if there is a decision to be made then it will be made by the Italian giants.

"Kovacic has five years left on his contract", Nikki Vuksan explained to FC Inter News.

"He is an Inter players and will continue to be so until the club wish otherwise.

"You have to ask Inter if they want to keep him or not."

Inter snapped up Kovacic last year from Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb.

He has started just nine games in Serie A for Inter this term, with the majority of his 27 appearances coming from the bench.
