Aly Cissokho admits he has heard of interest from Italian duo AC Milan and Inter and has informed his representatives that such a switch would be most agreeable.

The French left-back is currently on a season-long loan with Premier League leaders Liverpool from Spanish side Valencia.

The Reds have an option to purchase Cissokho outright at the end of the campaign, but have already chosen not to activate it, leaving the defender looking at other options.

Valencia want to offload Cissokho, given he has fallen out of favour, and shifting the former FC Porto man off the wage bill is something very much desired at the Mestalla.

The defender is still desperate to make use of the Anfield showcase he currently has, telling Fichajes: "Clearly, I would stay here, but we are fighting for the championship and it is not over yet.

"I know I'm in a big squad, it's a good showcase. I'm ready to show what I can do and if I can't be here then I will be at another big club."

Italy could be the next stop in Cissokho's adventure, with both Milan clubs considering moving to add him to their ranks for the 2014/15 season.

And for the Valencia-contracted defender, such a switch "would be a good opportunity".

"What I want for my career is to keep this trend of playing in top teams", the 26-year-old explained.

"Serie A is a good championship. I feel good in England, but the Italians' interest, I have told my agents, it would be a good opportunity."

Cissokho will hope to end his year-long stint at Liverpool on a high by helping the Reds to capture this season's Premier League title. They currently sit top of the pile with just four games to play.
