Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has praised Conte’s performance as manager, but believes that any talks regarding a contract extension should be carried out after the season ends.

“Juventus are delighted with the work done by Conte, he has a contract with us and he is the leader of our group”, Marotta told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We have already spoken regarding this matter and we will discuss this issue at the end of the season.”

The CEO has confirmed that they will sit with Conte and evaluate the situation, but feels that during this crucial juncture of the season, when Juventus are on a cusp of another Serie A title and are in the semi-finals of the Europa League, there is no need for any distractions for the manager.

“We will talk once we have achieved something important, the Scudetto and eventually the Europa League title.”

Conte is one of the most decorated players in Juventus’ history. Making 419 league appearances for the club, Conte has won five Scudettos with the Bianconeri and lifted the Champions League in 1996 and the UEFA Cup in 1993.
