Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna will be "back in the squad" for the match against Southampton at the weekend, manager Paul Lambert has revealed.

The 22-year-old missed the team's last match against Crystal Palace with a hamstring strain. However, he has recovered full fitness and will be available for selection on Saturday.

The Villains are desperate to get back to winning ways against Mauricio Pochettino's team after having lost four matches in a row.

The losses mean that Lambert's men are currently placed 14th with 34 points, four points ahead of relegation battlers Fulham.

The return of one of their utility players will therefore be greeted with joy by the club.

"Everybody is fine," Lambert told his club's official site.

"Bacuna is back in the squad. It is pretty much the same squad as last week."

Bacuna has played 30 matches in the league for the Claret and Blues scoring five goals and has provided his team-mates with a single assist.
