Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers does not believe that the pressure of the Premier League title run-in is any more likely to affect his team than simple bad luck.

The Reds sit top of the Premier League at present with a two-point advantage over second-placed Chelsea and, with just four games left to play, are in pole position to seal their first top flight title since 1990.

The pressure is growing, but Rodgers refuses to believe it will be a vital factor in the title race.

"I'm not sure if it's about mental pressure", he explained to a press conference.

"I think for us it won't be the case of the pressure. We might get a big of bad luck going against us or a mistake which is a genuine, honest mistake.

"We've been asked questions when we've played big games, I think the players have been magnificent in their response and how they've dealt with that."

And Rodgers feels that because of the nature of Liverpool, there will always be pressure on the club's players, which makes them used to it.

"We always have pressure here at Liverpool as we expect to win and do well", the Northern Irishman concluded.
