Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is not taking Norwich City lightly, explaining that he views the Premier League as the most difficult league in European football.

The Reds currently sit on top of the Premier League, two points ahead of second-placed Chelsea, and will be bidding to make sure they end the weekend in pole position by beating Norwich on Sunday.

But with bottom club Sunderland having drawn away at Manchester City last night, Rodgers is well aware of the competitive nature of the league, which he feels may not always be appreciated by those on the outside looking in.

"I think maybe for supporters or other people looking at games on paper they may or may not look easy", Rodgers told a press conference.
