Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone feels today's match against Elche will be a difficult game, but insists that his team are focused on getting the work done.

The Red and Whites are leading La Liga’s table, three points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid and are on an eight-match unbeaten run in the league.

With just five games remaining in the league this season, the Argentine manager will be hoping his side are able to continue their winning momentum when they take on Fran Escriba’s team at the Vicente Calderon today, in what he feels will be a ‘complicated’ clash.

“They have to save themselves as soon as possible. They’ll try to do their job and the only thing we care about is how to play and direct the match to the situation that suits us best”, Simeone was quoted as saying by the club’s site.

“To do that, we have to focus on how to compete and have intensity to be strong.

“We have to think on how to win a match that’s always complicated against a team that works well, as is Elche”, the 43-year-old added.

Atletico Madrid will also host English giants Chelsea in the first leg of the semi-final in the Champions League on 22nd April.
