Eden Hazard has been ruled out of Chelsea’s game against Sunderland tomorrow at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian is suffering from a calf injury that he sustained against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea take on Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Vicente Calderon on Tuesday, a game the Belgian will be desperate to play in.

Blues first-team coach Steve Holland, standing in for Jose Mourinho at Chelsea's press conference today, has refused to rule out the 23-year-old from that game but accepts that he is a major doubt.

“I wouldn't say he is definitely out but the fact he hasn't yet trained with the rest of the group means he is a major doubt.”

Hazard has made 46 appearances for the west London side this season, scoring 17 goals and providing ten assists.
