The PFA has announced its shortlist for the Player of the Year award, with Liverpool providing three of those in contention to collect the accolade.

Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge are all shortlisted, with Manchester City's Yaya Toure, Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Southampton's Adam Lallana completing the PFA list.




The Young Player of the Year award sees Sturridge and Hazard nominated again, while Liverpool provide another possible winner in Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, Everton midfielder Ross Barkley and Southampton defender Luke Shaw are also on the shortlist.

Suarez is firm favourite to win the Player of the Year award, having scored 29 goals in the Premier League as Liverpool top the table.

Sturridge has managed 20 goals in Liverpool's league run, while Gerrard has inspired the Reds and often converted from the penalty spot as part of his haul of 13 goals.
