Keeping midweek results in mind, Brendan Rodgers has warned his Liverpool squad not to take any game lightly at this late stage of the campaign.

On Wednesday, Manchester City could only salvage a point against Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium and on the same day Crystal Palace registered a thrilling 3-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park.

“I said to the players before we started training this morning that if there was doubt about our rivals dropping points, then they should also take last night's results as a warning sign”, the Northern Irishman told the club’s official site.

The former Swansea boss believes that there is no room for complacency for Liverpool in the last four games of the season and the midweek results showed that no team can be taken for granted at this late stage of the campaign.

"It was a warning sign for everyone that, at this point of the season with four games to go, there is nothing guaranteed and I have said that all the way along.

"Crystal Palace had an excellent result and Sunderland were within minutes of getting a great victory. That was the biggest message I got from last night.

"Yes, one of our rivals might have dropped points but that is irrelevant."

Rodgers will take nothing for granted as Liverpool prepare to take on relegation battlers Norwich City at Carrow Road this Sunday.
