Former Italy goalkeeper Giovanni Galli believes that Udinese sensation Simone Scuffet has something of a young Gianluigi Buffon about him.

Scuffet's performances for Udinese this season, packed full of potential, have already seen the wolves at the door of the southern Italian club.

Both Arsenal and Juventus have been strongly linked with the 17-year-old and for Galli that is no surprise, with the 55-year-old rating the Udinese prospect extremely highly.

"He reminds me of Buffon, but is more calm", Galli, who clocked up 19 caps for Italy and played for the Azzurri at two World Cups, told Sport Mediaset.

"Gigi has always been exuberant, every save for him has always been like a goal.

"Scuffet has done well to keep his composure, despite a big jump up from the [Italy] Under-17s to the senior team. This is very important."

Scuffet has made 13 appearances in Serie A for Udinese so far this season, along with turning out twice in the Coppa Italia, being rewarded by a call-up to join Italy's senior team in training.
