Luis Suarez has called on Liverpool to remain calm and focus on their upcoming game against Chelsea on Sunday, following his side’s 3-2 win over Norwich City yesterday.

Suarez’s 30th Premier League goal of the season and a Raheem Sterling brace at Carrow Road helped the Reds to move five points clear of the Blues at the top of the table.

Liverpool now need just seven points from their remaining three fixtures to lift the country’s top domestic league title after a long gap of 24 years.

But the Uruguayan international, who was pleased after the Merseyside club came out with the full three points against the relegation-threatened Canaries, warned his side not to rest on their laurels and instead urged them to focus on the forthcoming contest against Jose Mourinho’s men at Anfield.

“Of course we are happy because those three points are important for us and we worked really hard against Norwich”, he told ITV.

“Every time they are difficult [to play] and they are fighting not to go down and we know that.

“[Scoring 30 goals] is important for myself but my target is to help the team every time. We are on the top now and we enjoy that.

“In football you never know what will happen. We will keep calm and focus on the next game against Chelsea.”

Chelsea defeated Liverpool 2-1 in the corresponding fixture at Stamford Bridge in December.
