Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that goalkeeper Petr Cech's season is over after he dislocated his shoulder against Atletico Madrid this evening.

The first leg of the Champions League semi-final ended 0-0 at the Vicente Calderon, with Cech having to be withdrawn in the 18th minute and replaced by Mark Schwarzer.

Mourinho told Sky Italia: "For him, it's the season over, he won't play anymore, but I hope he can celebrate something."

The Chelsea boss however insists he does not know whether John Terry will be out of action and if so for how long; the defender limped off and was replaced by Andre Schurrle in the 73rd minute.

"Terry? I don't know his condition.

"But he's our captain. There were no defenders on the bench", Mourinho concluded.

Chelsea will now bid to shoot down Atletico Madrid in the return leg at Stamford Bridge.
