Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his bewilderment at Manchester United's decision to sack David Moyes as their manager.

Earlier today the defending Premier League champions announced of a parting of the ways with Moyes following a poor run of results which saw them being forced down to the seventh position in the league with four matches remaining.

Ancelotti, who himself enjoyed a two-year stint with Premier League side Chelsea, feels that such situations are part and parcel of a manager's life.

But the fact that a club like Manchester United, who have a history of giving managers time, have acted, has surprised him.

"At another club it would be completely normal, but after so many years with Sir Alex [Ferguson] it is a little surprising.
