Ryan Giggs is expected to take charge of Manchester United until the end of the season following David Moyes' sacking by the club, according to the PA.

Moyes was dismissed from his post earlier today, with last year's champions languishing in seventh spot in the Premier League and certain to miss out on next season's Champions League.

The Red Devils announced the news of Moyes' departure in a statement saying: "Manchester United announces that David Moyes has left the club.

"The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role."

Now Giggs is expected to boss the side in their remaining four games of the season in the Premier League.

According to the BBC, Moyes' assistants Steve Round and Jimmy Lumsden have also parted company with the Red Devils.
