Jack Butland says that he has learned a lot from his loan spell at Leeds United this season.

Butland signed for Stoke City in January 2013 from Birmingham City and went straight back on loan to his former club for the rest of the season. He spent time on loan at Barnsley this season before joining Leeds in February.

“The spell has had a few ups and downs but what hasn’t changed is the experience I am getting of playing for a big club”, Butland told the club’s official site.

The England international is grateful for the opportunity to play for a big club like Leeds and has enjoyed the experience of playing in front of large crowds at Elland Road.

“There is a lot of expectation that comes with playing in front of big crowds. Yes, it has been tough and we haven’t picked up enough points.

“But it has been something that has taught me a lot and it will help me moving forward.”

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has made 14 appearances since joining Leeds from Stoke.
