Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has revealed that he wants young midfielder Adrien Rabiot to stay at the club and believes that he will get more opportunities to play next season.

Rabiot has refused to sign a new contract with the club until now, and is unhappy at not getting enough opportunities to play this season.

"You know the esteem I have for this boy. He is young, he has big potential, he showed early in the season that he could expect more playing time”, Blanc explained at a press conference.

“Unfortunately, he was injured and then there was the signing of Yohan [Cabaye], which was necessary.”

Blanc has asked the 19-year-old to be more patient and believes that the young Frenchman will decide to stay with the Parisians.

“He is eager to play, you can understand it and I'm careful, but we must not forget that he belongs to a big club and he must be patient.

“I know this is easier said than done. I hope he will stay at PSG.”

Arsenal and Tottenham have long been linked with Rabiot, with Blanc confirming offers for the midfielder last summer were turned down.

Rabiot has made 22 league appearances for PSG this season but only nine of those appearances were starts.
