Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo will only play in this evening's Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich if he is 100% fit.

The 29-year-old has missed three matches for his team, including the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, due to injury.

Alonso admits that the Portuguese international is important for Los Blancos, but adds that they will not risk him under any circumstances.

"Cristiano Ronaldo will play if he is 100%," the 32-year-old was quoted as saying by Spanish daily Marca.

"He is fundamental to us and when he's there, we take full advantage of our opportunities."

Manager Carlo Ancelotti also echoed Alonso's words while speaking at the pre-match press conference.

"He trained quite normally today, like any day. Tomorrow [today, ed.] we will test him again and see how it goes.

"He will play if everyone is sure that it is safe. If there is any risk of a relapse, he won't play", the 54-year-old added.
