Juventus have approached Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri for a move from Munich to Turin, but the Swiss international has turned them down, according to Sky Italia.

Shaqiri joined Bayern Munich from FC Basel in 2012 for a transfer of €11.6m and signed a four-year-contract with the club.

Since joining the German champions, the Swiss international has found it difficult to cement his place in the starting eleven due to form and injuries and has only made ten starts in the league this season.

Shaqiri has now turned down an approach and is happy to fight for his place in the star-studded Bayern Munich line-up.

However, Juventus don’t consider Shaqiri a top priority and may not make a further approach for the Swiss international.

Since joining Bayern Munich in 2012, Shaqiri has made 43 league appearances for the club and has scored ten goals.

The former FC Basel winger has made 30 appearances for Switzerland and is expected to travel to Brazil for this summer’s World Cup.
