Stoke City transfer target Ivica Olic has committed his future to Wolfsburg by signing a new two-year contract extension.

The Croatian international joined Wolfsburg from Bayern Munich in 2012.

Since then he has been an integral part of the team's success and has scored 13 goals in 29 league matches this season.

Speculation had been rife about the 34-year-old's chances of moving to England to join Stoke City.

However, his decision to extend his contract will now put all the rumours to rest for at least the time being.

"I'm delighted that my future has now been resolved and that I am going to continue playing for Wolfsburg", Olic told the club's official site.

"We want to try to be successful in the Bundesliga and in Europe next season.

"I love being part of this team, and my family is happy here too."
