Liverpool are well aware they must strengthen their squad over the summer and not rest on their laurels because of Luis Suarez's happiness, manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted.

Suarez, who is the top scorer in this season's Premier League and recently picked up the PFA Players' Player of the Year award, has ruled out any transfer away from Anfield in the summer and pledged his future to the Merseyside giants.

That is a big boost for the Reds, as Rodgers well knows, and the Northern Irishman is planning to bring more players to the club to compliment the Uruguayan.

"I know he's happy", Rodgers told a press conference.
