Oussama Assaidi has admitted he does not know what the future holds for him, but is thankful Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has shown belief in his talents this season.

The Moroccan winger has spent the campaign on loan at Stoke from Liverpool and the Potters have already made enquiries about keeping him at the club on a permanent basis.

Assaidi does not know whether he is set to remain at the Britannia Stadium, but insists he is happy at Stoke.

"I do not know what my future looks like, but I always say that I'm very happy at Stoke", the former Heerenveen winger was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"The manager believes in me, that is what I need.

"I was glad I got to play last weekend and was named man of the match."

And Assaidi feels if the door is firmly closed to the first team at Liverpool then Stoke could fit the bill.

Stoke fans chanting 'sign him up' at the weekend was a welcome boost, but the winger said: "I'm under contract at Liverpool, we'll see what they say.

"If there is no real chance to play, then Stoke is a good option."
