Napoli coach Rafael Benitez is extremely keen on snapping up Colombia international striker Victor Ibarbo from Cagliari this summer.

Ibarbo, who has been linked with English Championship side Leeds United, is on Napoli's radar to provide a backup option to Gonzalo Higuain.

The Cagliari striker has revealed he would like to play his football in England, but sounded less enthusiastic about turning out in the country's second tier, hitting Leeds' hopes.

Juventus have already lodged an enquiry over Ibarbo, but Cagliari are banking on a good World Cup for the striker increasing his suitors and asking price.

Now Napoli are in the race too and according to La Nuova Sardegna, Benitez is desperate to have the striker at the San Paolo next term.

The former Liverpool manager has been impressed with Ibarbo's performances for Cagliari this season and, like Juventus, will be able to offer the hitman Champions League football for 2014/15.
