Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes that his team have taken a big step forward over the last season to end the season on a high.

Arsenal started the season on a positive note, but found themselves suffering a slump in form after Christmas.

But they finished the season strongly, qualifying for the Champions League and also winning the FA Cup.

Ramsey, who played a key role in his team's success during the first half of the campaign, thinks that his team did well to get back on track and finish off strong.

“I believe [we have made progress]," he told his club's official site.

"We had a great start to the season and a couple of hiccups after Christmas.

"Then we got back on track and finished off strong. I definitely think that we've taken a big step forward."

Ramsey scored a total of 10 goals in 23 league games for Arsenal last season and also provided his team-mates with eight equally important assists.
