Former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll has revealed his desire to play for an English club in the upcoming season.

The Northern Ireland international, who is a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Olympiacos, helped the Red and Whites to the Greek Super League title this term.

Carroll last played in England with Derby County in 2009 before leaving for spells at OB Odense and OFI Crete.

However, the 37-year-old, who was roped in by Olympiacos in 2012, has now set his sights on returning to England and is hopeful about a move materialising despite enduring some tough seasons in the country.
