Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is willing to pull out his wallet to ensure Eden Hazard does not move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Hazard is wanted by the French champions, who have been doing the leg work on a potential transfer and are preparing to make an offer of €75m for the Belgian after the World Cup.

But the Blues will fight hard to keep hold of the former Lille man and are plotting an contract extension and salary increase to keep Hazard happy at Stamford Bridge.

According to Belgian daily Sud-Info, Abramovich is prepared to increase Hazard's yearly salary from €11.5m to a cool €15m.

That would see the Belgium international pocket close to €290,000 per week at Chelsea.

Hazard has enjoyed an uneasy relationship with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho of late, with the Portuguese suggesting he does not sacrifice himself for the team.

The player himself meanwhile bemoaned that "Chelsea are not set up to play football" after the club crashed out of the Champions League in the semi-finals to Atletico Madrid.
