Alexandre Lacazette's future at Lyon is in doubt despite the French club being keen to sign him to a new contract.

Lyon are proposing a fresh deal which would keep Lacazette at the Stade Gerland, amidst serious interest in the 23-year-old from English heavyweights Arsenal and Liverpool.

According to French daily Le Progres, Lacazette's salary demands in negotiations over a new contract are considered excessive by Lyon to such an extent that his future at the club is now in doubt.

The striker played a key part in Lyon's campaign this season and hit the back of the net 15 times in 36 Ligue 1 games for Les Gones, increasing his stock still further.
