Mauricio Pochettino is facing a tough battle to persuade Loic Remy to move to Tottenham Hotspur and may end up losing the Frenchman to rivals Arsenal.

Remy spent last season on loan at Newcastle from QPR, having failed to help Harry Redknapp's men avoid relegation from the Premier League in 2012/13; Remy joined QPR from Marseille in January 2013.

A series of fine performances for the Magpies have put the striker front and centre for a number of clubs and Remy is expected to make a permanent exit from Loftus Road this summer.

According to Spanish daily Marca, Pochettino, a former Espanyol manager, has already made a concrete bid for Remy.

However, with Arsenal in the mix and the striker wanting to move to a club that can offer Champions League football, Spurs may find Remy out of reach.
