Liverpool and Belgium goalkeeper Simon Mignolet believes that his club side will benefit from a number of their players being involved at the World Cup as part of the England squad.

The Reds finished second in the Premier League last season with a young team and Mignolet feels that every bit of experience they can gather, be it on the domestic or international front, will stand them in good stead.

"It can only be a good thing for Liverpool to have so many players included in the squad, and Jon Flanagan also picked up his first cap for England in a preparation game", he was quoted as saying by his club's site.

"Those experiences for the players – and the young players especially – are very important, not only for England but also for Liverpool", he added.

England manager Roy Hodgson has called up Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling, Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge, Glen Johnson and Rickie Lambert to his World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, youngster Jon Flanagan was included as a standby option and made his senior debut in a friendly against Ecuador before the tournament started.

Liverpool could yet also have another England international in their ranks next season, with the club chasing Southampton attacking midfielder Adam Lallana.
