Dynamo Moscow have announced the signing of Dutch full-back Alexander Buttner from Manchester United, subject to the completion of minor details.
Buttner joins the Russian outfit after spending two seasons at Manchester United where he managed only 28 appearances.
With Patrice Evra’s renewal and talk of signing a new left-back, the writing was on the wall for the 25-year-old Dutchman, who has chosen to head for pastures new.
Buttner has played for Holland’s Under-19 and Under-20 teams, but has failed to progress to the senior squad.
The former Vitesse man has expressed his delight at joining Dynamo Moscow and believes that the club have it in them to win the Russian league title next season.

“I want to play in the Champions League and win trophies”, Buttner told the club’s official site.
“In Dynamo I have selected a very strong team, I am confident that we can fight for the championship next season.”
