Lille general director Frederic Paquet has addressed the growing speculation which is pointing young striker Divock Origi in the direction of Premier League giants Liverpool.

Origi, who is currently at the World Cup with Belgium, is thought to be in line for a move to Anfield which will see Lille net between €10m and €14m for his services.

The 19-year-old is likely to remain with Lille on loan for a further season, despite having made a splash in Brazil.

Paquet is not prepared to add fuel to the fire of transfer talk, but has reassured Lille fans that Origi will be at the club next term.

"Origi? The only certainty is that he will be with us this season", Paquet was quoted as saying by Le 10 Sport.

And Lille coach Rene Girard was keen to chip in with some praise for Origi.

"I had the chance to see Belgium v Russia. To see Divock return and score, it was great.

"Divock is living the dream.

"He had a very good season with us, he went to the World Cup, without it being planned."
