Tottenham Hotspur want €25m from Napoli to sell Brazilian midfielder Sandro, a sum the Italians deem too high.

Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is keen to add Sandro to his ranks this summer and the Coppa Italia winners have been working hard to present the 25-year-old to the former Liverpool manager.

But doing a deal with Tottenham for Sandro is proving tough and, according to Sky Italia, Spurs have slapped a €25m asking price on the player's head.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis considers that too much for the Brazilian and is only willing to stretch to €18m.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is renowned as a tough negotiator and it remains to be seen if he will lower the price demanded.

Sandro, one of only two Brazilians in the Spurs squad, joined the English club in 2010 from Internacional.

He wasted little time establishing himself as a firm fan favourite due to his all-action displays in the middle of the park.
