Samuel Eto’o is in negotiations to join Galatasaray on a free transfer before the start of the new season.

Eto’o joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala last summer on a one-year deal, but the club and the player have parted ways at the end of his contract.

The Cameroonian scored twelve goals for Chelsea last season and despite his age, the striker is still in demand in the transfer market.

The former Barcelona man has been closely looked at by the likes of Arsenal and Everton and even AC Milan have also been touted as a possible destination for him.

However, the 33-year-old has entered into negotiations to sign for Galatasaray, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Turkish outfit are looking to replace Didier Drogba, who left the club at the end of his contract, and have offered a two-year contract to the former Inter Milan striker.

Eto’o has scored 269 goals in 519 appearances in European club football for six different clubs and Galatasaray might become the next chapter in the much-travelled Cameroonian’s club career.
