Leeds United are continuing to cast their gaze across Italian football for potential summer signings, with the Elland Road outfit now having settled upon a Sassuolo star.

The latest player in Leeds' sights is defender Jonathan Rossini, with Massimo Cellino's side taking a serious interest in the 25-year-old.

According to Sky Italia, talks are already taking place between the Yorkshire side and Rossini's representatives, with the intention being to see him playing his football at Elland Road next term.

The defender was born in Switzerland and has won one senior cap for the country, having also featured for the nation at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

At club level Rossini started his career in the youth ranks at Bellinzona, before being snapped up by Sampdoria.
