AC Milan have made an offer for Arsenal target and Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.

New Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi is on the hunt to sign a new goalkeeper and Marchetti features on his shortlist of shot-stoppers.

Milan are ready to offer €7.5m to Lazio over three installments to sign the 31-year-old goalkeeper, according to Italian daily Il Messaggero.

Marchetti still has two years left on his contract and it remains to be seen whether Lazio are willing to part with the experienced goalkeeper.

Marchetti is also a target for Arsenal, who are looking to sign an experienced goalkeeper to boost their squad. Wojciech Szczesny is the only senior goalkeeper in the Gunners squad after the departure of Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Viviano.
