New Hull City signing Thomas Ince has revealed that he is “over the moon” after joining the Tigers.

The 22-year-old, who was heavily linked with a move to Serie A club Inter Milan, joined Steve Bruce’s side from Blackpool on a two-year deal yesterday.

The winger becomes Hull City’s third major signing of the summer after Jake Livermore and Robert Snodgrass, who joined from Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City respectively.

Ince scored 33 times in 113 appearances for Blackpool and spent the latter part of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace.

And the youngster, who feels his new employers have a perfect blend of youth and experience, explained that he is determined to help the KC Stadium outfit better their 16th-placed Premier League finish.

“To be part of a squad of this quality is exciting and there could be some more new faces coming in too,” he told Hull City’s official site.

“There is a really good blend here with youth and experience and everybody is pushing in the right direction. The project here is for the club to push on, become a better team and get higher up the table.

“We need to get a strong pre-season under our belts, get ourselves fit and ready and relish the season ahead.

“This is a club that is starting to make a name for itself in the Premier League after a fantastic season in 2013/14.

“I’m over the moon to be part of a project that is moving forward. I know the manager likes to play attractive football and I’m relishing the challenge of trying to help improve the team.”

Ince, who is a product of Liverpool’s youth set-up, is yet to earn a senior cap for England, but has represented the nation at various youth levels.
