Greek giants PAOK Salonika have completed the signing of former West Ham left-back Razvan Rat.

The Romania international parted ways with West Ham at the end of January, despite only having joined the club from Shakhtar Donetsk last year, and linked up with Spanish side Rayo Vallecano on a short-term deal.

PAOK had secured a verbal agreement with Rat last month and have now made his arrival official, with the defender penning a two-year contract at the club.

Rat will now join his team-mates in their pre-season training base in Holland.

The 33-year-old started his career with Romanian side Rapid Bucharest, but moved on to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2003.
