New Galatasaray manager Cesare Prandelli is plotting a move for AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli.

Prandelli officially took over as the manager of the Turkish giants earlier this week and is ready to dip his hand into the transfer market.

His first concern is to replace Didier Drogba, who left the club this summer, and the former Italy boss is looking to add a top class striker ahead of the new season.

Prandelli has identified his fellow Italian, Balotelli, as a replacement for Drogba and is plotting a move for the AC Milan striker, according to Turkish daily sports Fanatik.

Rumours of Arsenal being interested in the Italian striker have continued to persist, even though Arsene Wenger issued a denial earlier last month.

Balotelli has come under fire for his performances for Italy in the World Cup and Milan vice-president Barbara Berlusconi said last month that no player is irreplaceable at the club.

The 23-year-old joined Milan from Manchester City in January last year and has scored 30 goals in 54 appearances for the club.
