New Arsenal signing Alexis Sanchez has revealed one of the reasons he moved to the Gunners was because he believes they can win trophies.

Arsene Wenger's men ended a trophy drought which had run since 2005 last year, picking up the FA Cup by beating Hull City at Wembley.

They are seeking to build upon their success last term and to that end completed the capture of Chile forward Sanchez from Barcelona last night.

And, having arrived from one of the most successful clubs in world football in recent years, Sanchez is looking forward to more of the same at the Emirates Stadium.

"Playing regularly wasn't the only reason I came here, I came here to win things. The league title, the Champions League, in fact every title at stake", Sanchez told Arsenal Player.

The forward is determined not to place too much pressure on himself however, with a calm approach sure to pay dividends, in his view.

"The most important thing is to be calm and not to rush things too much.

"Everything will be fine as long as I take it easy and calm down, but I'm also looking forward to showing the fans what I can do and why I'm here."
