Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of winger Kieran Richardson from Fulham on a two-year deal.

The former Manchester United player was poised to move to a new club this summer after his former club Fulham were relegated from the Premier League.

The 29-year-old will add to manager Paul Lambert's options in midfield during next season.

Richardson will also have the opportunity to team up with his former Sunderland manager Roy Keane, who is Aston Villa assistant boss, at Villa Park.
