Liverpool are looking at the possibility of signing winger Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid this summer, something which could send the Spanish champions scurrying to Arsenal for Santi Cazorla.

Brendan Rodgers' men have a healthy transfer kitty following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, even if there is confusion over the exact fee, with the Catalan club's president rubbishing talk from England that the Uruguayan has cost £75m.

Liverpool are moving to complete the signing of winger Lazar Markovic from Benfica, but could yet sign another wide player in the form of Turan.

According to Eurosport Turkey, Liverpool are keen on Turan and Atletico Madrid are already thinking about potential replacements should they lose the star to Anfield.

And the departure of Turan could see Atletico Madrid make a bold push for Cazorla, a player they have been consistently linked with over the last year.

Affording Cazorla has always posed problems for Los Rojiblancos, however boosted by the sale of Turan to Liverpool, the Arsenal man could be within reach.

Atletico Madrid received positive signs that the Spain international would be willing to lower his salary to head to the Vicente Calderon last month, but Arsenal would still demand a fee in excess of €20m for the former Malaga man.
