Galatasaray have placed Wesley Sneijder's suitors on alert by being prepared to sell the Dutchman for a fee below his release clause sum of €20m.

Sneijder has been linked with joining his international coach Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, having conceded that would be an offer difficult to refuse, while principality outfit Monaco are a destination mooted as possible for the attacking midfielder.

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal admitted recently that Sneijder has a release clause of €20m, urging interested clubs to meet it if they wanted to sign the former Real Madrid man.

However, according to French outlet Mercato 365, Galatasaray are willing to sell Sneijder for a lower figure as they are keen to move the Dutchman off their wage bill.

The Turkish giants snapped Sneijder up from Italian side Inter in January 2013, the midfielder arriving at the club with Didier Drogba as Galatasaray bid for a Champions League splash.
