Brazilian striker Brandao could swap Saint-Etienne for Sheffield Wednesday this summer, however the English Championship side will need to improve their financial offer to the player.

Brandao, who is currently under contract to Les Verts until 2015, has been in England to view Sheffield Wednesday's facilities as he weighs up a move across the channel.

However, according to French sports daily L'Equipe, the 34-year-old is not at present satisfied with the wages being proposed by the Owls.

Brandao joined Saint-Etienne in 2012 and quickly helped the side to win the Coupe de la Ligue, scoring the winning goal in the final against Lyon.

The Brazilian is vastly experienced in European football, having turned out for Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk between 2002 and 2009, before joining Marseille.
