English Championship side Nottingham Forest have signed former Barcelona defender Roger Riera on a two-year contract.

The 19-year-old was released by the Catalan giants earlier this summer and has settled on Forest as his new club.

Riera is a product of Barcelona's youth academy, having represented and captained the club at all youth levels.

The defender played a key role for the club's Under-19 team last term, helping them claim the UEFA Youth League.

The 19-year-old featured against Celtic, Ajax, FC Copenhagen, Schalke and Benfica in the UEFA Youth League.
